Contains many useful recipes for different ailments, 2001-03-01
I have some Black Cumin seed from a website called www.blackseedusa.com and the book contains many wonderful recipes to use the Black Cumin seeds and oil for different ailments. I am eagerly waiting for the authors to write another book on the subject. To be sure you have the true Black Cumin always look for the botanical name "Nigella sativa"

brief yet useful and extremely informative, 2000-12-31
Known for healing every disease (except death), cumin is as important as a spice in recipes and as a medicine for colds and other such conditions. This book also shows the effectiveness of black cumin in treatments for asthma, allergies and acne. The authors provide fascinating information on this plant, including its important use in Ancient Egyptian times. Recipes are included for the knowledgeable or curious cook. Well illustrated, this book is recommended mostly for health and food aficionados.

I really liked this book. I had just recently purchased some wonderful products made with black cumin from an online store www.sweetsunnah.com and I find that this book affirmed my beleif that this is truly a powerfully healing herb.

An amazing book about an amazing herb!, 2000-09-13
Truly magical it is. This the the English translation that I was waiting for. Many people dont know that Black Cumin is also called Black Seed.
